Ginger is my first born child...lol! She has been with me since she was 4 and will stay with me until the end. I love this mare to death, it literally makes me tear up thinking about all the great times we have had together. I literally grew up with her. My story of purchasing her is quite amusing looking back, check out one of my first post ever for that story. She taught me a great deal of responsibility at a young age (13) and later at age (22) when I learned to pick up all of her and my expenses on my own. I owe this mare a lot for all she has taught me in the show ring and out! This being said when she was diagnosed with navicular in 2008 I knew I had to keep her no matter what and just hope that one day I could have another horse with working legs. I still to this day tell her how I wish she could just get some leg transplants. However now my Mom enjoys riding her around at a slow walk.
